A Gathering for Poultry People

Come Make Some New Friends!

The internet has made it pretty easy for poultry people to find each other, but it’s not nearly as easy to actually meet. The Flock Party gives us a chance to do that in person.

Our first gathering took place in September 2026, and I’m planning another for late spring or early summer 2027. I’d love to make it a twice-a-year event, with one gathering on either side of summer.

The next date and registration details will be posted here once they’re confirmed.

The Flock Party is a casual afternoon for local poultry keepers to get together, have a coffee, talk about their birds, and make some new friends. Chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, quail… if you’ve got poultry (or hope to someday), you’re welcome to join us.

There’s no speaker, packed schedule, or pressure to work the room. Just coffee, tea, lots of snacks, comfortable places to sit, and plenty of time to talk.

If you’re thinking, “This sounds fun, but I’m awkward around new people,” you’re definitely not the only one. A lot of us who keep birds are rather introverted, myself included. Most of us are probably more comfortable talking to chickens than strangers.

I’ll have simple name tags to help make those first conversations a little easier, and the room will have a mix of quieter corners and more social areas. You can settle in wherever you feel comfortable. I’ll greet you at the door and get you settled in but nobody will make you introduce yourself to the room or force you to mingle with everyone there. Just grab a coffee, chat if you’d like, and enjoy the company of fellow poultry keepers.

That’s really it. A room full of poultry people, a few hours to talk, and no need to explain why you have so many chicken pictures on your phone. (We all do too!)
